Actress Madhubala was born 14Feb,1933 Delhi, India. Her actual call changed into Mumtaz Begum Jehan Dehlavi. She belonged to a Muslim family and was the fifth child in a large family of eleven children. Her parents were a traditional Pathan couple.

Her father Ataullah Khan lost his job in tobacco company, making life difficult for his family. In found of better life; her father moved to Mumbai with the entire family. She is known as Mumtaz, started acting in movies at the age of just 9.

After she broke up with Dilip Kumar, she felt unhappy but located comfort in being with a singer Kishore Kumar. They liked each different and desired to get married, even though their families did not assist them.

 Madhubala and Kishore Kumar married on 9October, 1960. Kishore Kumar became out to be a romantic man, which made her happy. But their marriage wasn’t always easy. They had money problems and Kishore Kumar worked a lot, which sometimes made things tough for them.

Actress Devika Rani encouraged Mumtaz to adopt the name Madhubala after seeing her appear in several films as a child artiste. She gained popularity as a confident professional performer and began being cast for lead roles by the time she reached her early years. Mumtaz’s first film, Basant (1942), turned into a box office success. She played the role of famous actress Mumtaz Shanti’s daughter in it.

Her first success came when producer Kedar Sharma cast her opposite Raj Kapoor in Neel Kamal. She was 14 years old when she was the lead role. Despite the lack of box office success, her performance was popular.

She become a famous actress who did not tell anyone that she was ill for a long time. But in 1954, While she was making a movie in a place called Madras, she got very sick and threw up blood. The director, Mr. Vassan, and his wife helped her until she got better. After that, she kept acting and became a really big star.

She reduces the danger of illness; she would only consume food cooked at home and water from a designated well while filming at the studios. But her illness troubled her a lot and she died in 1969 at the age of 36.
